Getting your child ready to learn is an important job! Caregivers are children’s first teachers.
In this module, you will learn about how cancer may impact your child’s reading skills. You will also learn about the value of reading to your child! Through the power of reading, many benefits will follow. Hopefully, you will also learn some tips that will help you make reading time less stressful and more enjoyable.
To become strong readers and to succeed in school, it is really important to talk and read books, even to very young children. Children learn about the world through reading, including the names of different objects and how things work.
In this module, you will learn:

- Why reading is important
- Tips to get your child ready to read
- How to provide the right amount of support while your child is learning to read
